Chapter 887 The Residual Soul

Chapter 887 The Residual SoulIn the Kunlun Mountains.

After two days of adaptation, Casey had been generally familiar with the operation mechanism of the

Pantheon, and familiar with some of the rules here, but also had figured out the way to get Soul Setting

Jade.

He had to get Soul Setting Jade from the Pantheon and to get it, he had to accumulate rewards. It was

obviously unrealistic to steal the Soul Setting Jade from the warehouse of the Pantheon.

Casey could not cope with the four masters here, not to mention the power of the enigmatic Thomas.

And only Thomas and a few core figures knew where the warehouse of the Pantheon was. Casey was

new here, it was impossible for him to find the location of the warehouse in the vast mountains.

So at present, the only practical way to get the Soul Setting Jade was to accumulate rewards.

Casey did not intend to stay too long in the Pantheon, after all, if he wanted to accumulate rewards, he

had to go out to do the task. Although there were some opportunities for rewards in the Pantheon, but

with that few of rewards, it would take long for Casey to have that Soul Setting Jade.

He had only three years in all, and now half a year had passed, so he had to hurry.

He packed up his things and went out from the room. He planned to see Thomas. If Thomas had

nothing else to do, he would leave the Kunlun Mountains and go home first.

He came to the center mountain of the Pantheon, far away, Casey saw the thatch hut on the top of the

mountain, and a big banyan tree outside the house.

Not far from the hut there was a stone table on which stood tea sets that looked as if they had just been

served. After walking to the hut, Casey shouted, “Thomas, can you come out?”

After a long while, Casey did not get an answer.

“He is not here?” Casey asked himself.

He learned from staff at the Pantheon that Thomas had been staying on the mountain since he came

back and had not gone down, but now he could not be seen here.

Considering that Thomas might have something to do and went to a place he did not know, Casey went

to the front of the stone table and sat down, intending to wait here for a while.

Casey did not know that the small hut on the top of the mountain had a channel connected with the

interior of the mountain, along the channel, it directly reached the location of the mountain center.

The mountain was hollow inside, inside was a large cave, and Thomas was now in the cave.

The interior of the cave was dark, and apart from the channel, the rest of it had not been artificially

modified.

Now the light in the cave was supported by torches, so it was not so bright, but a little dim.

Thomas was standing in front of a smooth, mirror-like stone wall. In front of him stood a table with

candles burning on it.

The stone wall did not look solid, but inside it was dark, not like the darkness of night, but like an abyss.

If you stare at it for a while, you will feel that your body and mind will fall into it, which is quite eerie.

And had it not been for the wall, the darkness would have rushed out and devoured everything around

it.But around the stone wall there were many magical lines, time to time flashing bursts of light, like a

noveldramacharm, the darkness in the stone wall was firmly sealed up.

Few could have imagined that something so counterintuitive existed inside the mountain.

At this time, Thomas was standing in front of the table. In his hand were the wood chips of Scarlet Sun

Wood he had got from Fleming.

“Master, I have the Scarlet Sun Wood, I will poweren your soul, so that you can continue to support for

a period of time.” Thomas opened his mouth.

As he spoke, there was a flash of light on the stone wall in front of him, and in the twinkling of an eye

there was an old figure, ethereal, almost transparent, and as if imprisoned in the stone wall, looking

indescribably mysterious.

The old figure stared at Thomas and said, “Thomas, thank you for your hard work.”

Thomas said with a smile, “Master, you are joking. It is you working hard. I just run errands.”

“I'm just a residual soul. I'm not working hard. I'm stuck in this place, it is boring.” Said the figure faintly.

He was Thomas's master, Mayo Byrne, the previous lord of the Pantheon.

Thomas was sure that above the sublimation, there was the existence of Unrealm, it was because

Mayo, who was the only master of Unrealm in the world who Thomas knew.

However, because of a big event happened many years ago, Mayo became a residual soul and was

sealed in the stone wall, in suppression of the endless darkness in the stone wall.

“I can’t last much longer. Even if with the help of Scarlet Sun Wood, I will eventually perish. Have you

found the man you expected to find? Can he step into the Unrealm and change the present situationbefore I perish? If there is no one to suppress the entrance, the whole world will be in bad luck.” Mayo

sighed helplessly.

“I have found him. He is the most gifted man I have ever seen, but it is up to his fate whether he can

reach the Unrealm before you perish.” Thomas said.

Mayo nodded and said nothing more. He was in such a state that even if he wanted to worry about

such things, he could do nothing about it.

Thomas no longer thought about it. He moved the candle on the table forward and pressed it against

the wall. “Master,” he said, “I am going to light the wood ships of Scarlet Sun Wood.”

With that, Thomas placed the wood chips bit by bit on the candle, at the moment the wood chips

touched the flame, it instantly burned up.

After that, a blue gas appeared in front of the stone wall, and Mayo immediately absorbed the blue gas.

After a while, the blue gas was absorbed by Mayo, and his figure became much more solid, no longer

as ethereal as before.

“This feeling is really good, but there is only so much of Scarlet Sun Wood. If there is enough of it, it is

possible to poweren my soul to the point of substance. It is a pity.”

Mayo laughed, free and easy, there was no loss.
