Cynthia walked out of her room wearing pajamas. Unable to fall asleep, she headed to the living room
downstairs and scrolled through the Martial Arts Forum. She wanted to know if anything significant had
happened over the past few days.
The moment she logged into the forum, she saw two messages that James had posted. Upon reading
through the messages, she could not help but exclaim, “J-James is still alive?”
She could not believe her eyes. Holding the phone in her hand, she hurriedly ran upstairs and knocked
on a door.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
“Maxine! Maxine!”
However, no matter how hard she knocked, no one answered the door. So, she pushed the door open
and entered the room.
When she entered, she saw Maxine sitting in a lotus position on the bed. Wearing white pajamas, her
long black hair was on end, and her eyes were bloodshot. Green veins were popping out all over her
face.
Cynthia’s blood ran cold and she unconsciously turned to leave.

myself sometimes as my strength increases. Desires will surface in my mind. Not only that, but a
mysterious power will appear whenever I catalyze True Energy. Sometimes, I have a feeling that I’m
being controlled by it.”
“Huh? What’s going on?” Cynthia asked.
Maxine shook her head slightly and said, “Nevermind… In any case, I’ll be careful from now on. By the
way, is something the matter?”
Cynthia pulled her phone out and handed it over to Maxine.
“There’s a user on the Martial Arts Forum who claims to be James!”Maxine was stunned when she heard this. With shivering hands, she took the phone and read through
James’ message.
“Is that really him?”
Maxine could not believe her eyes.
Three years ago, the entire Floret Palace was flattened, and the mountain on which Floret Palace was
constructed was reduced to rubble. Many searched for James but to no avail.
To Maxine, James was already dead. He only existed in her memories.
Now that this happened, she was both overjoyed and stunned.
“Maxine, do you think he’s James?” Cynthia asked.
Maxine returned the phone to Cynthia and said, “In any case, I’m heading over to Mount Bane.” Then,
she changed out of her sleepwear and headed to Mount Bane immediately.
