Chapter 1212

Chapter 1212:

Allison gave a small nod. “Alright.”

She activated the cameras on her computer and Gordon’s phone simultaneously.

Just then, a knock sounded at the bedroom door. Since it wasn’t locked, Kellan walked in. “Allison, you—”

Before he could finish, she raised a finger to her lips. “Shh, I need to make a call first.”

“I see,” Kellan replied calmly.

He was well aware of how busy Allison had been lately, especially with the constant worry about her mother weighing on her.

Without another word, he unbuttoned his cuffs, walked behind her, and began massaging her shoulders and neck.

“Relax, I won’t disturb you,” he murmured, his deep, velvety voice washing over her.

His fingers pressed against her shoulders through the thin fabric, their warmth radiating comfort. The tension in her muscles eased.

For the first time in days, she felt herself truly unwind.

At that moment, the video connected, and Gordon’s face appeared on the screen.

He looked noticeably thinner than the last time they’d met. His deep-set eyes and messy mullet, now streaked with dark red highlights, stood out. His hairstyle clashed entirely with the rigid, formal demeanor of the Herbert family. That streak of red in his hair was a bold declaration of rebellion.

“Allison, it’s been a long time,” Gordon said, his lips curving into a genuine smile.

The days hadn’t been kind to him, and he had longed for a chance to speak with her. Now that he had it, he wasn’t about to waste the moment.

“But why is Mr. Lloyd there as well?” he asked, forcing a polite smile.

“Mr. Lloyd, how have you been?”

He hadn’t anticipated Kellan standing right behind Allison. From the backdrop visible in the video, it was unmistakable that they were in a bedroom—an undeniably private space.

His eyes immediately caught sight of Kellan’s fingers, which rested on Allison’s shoulders in an intimate, almost teasing manner.

“Very well,” Kellan said coolly, his gaze briefly flicking toward Gordon. “I’m Allison’s boyfriend; it’s hardly surprising that we live together,” he added, his voice laced with calm confidence as he casually draped an arm around Allison’s waist.

His intense stare locked onto Gordon, unwavering and deliberate. “Mr. Herbert, you’re looking quite haggard. Seems like things haven’t been going well for you.”

“It’s because I’ve missed Allison so much,” Gordon said, his voice warm and sincere. “But it’s alright. Once I’ve taken care of things here, I’ll be able to see her again soon.”

His eyes locked with Kellan’s through the screen.

The tension between them was palpable.

“So, Gordon, how are you doing now?” Allison interjected, cutting through the unspoken hostility. She knew the two men didn’t get along, so she redirected their attention.
