Chapter 1345: ReminderChapter 1345: Reminder
Daisy nodded, indicating she understood, though her face showed a hint of disappointment. She said, "I still want to wait, | just
need a few minutes, | don't want to take up too much of his time."
Ultimately, Kian could only nod, escorting Daisy to the rest area. The distance from here to Ayan's office was considerable,
conveniently separated by a secretary's office, allowing for a clear view of Daisy and preventing any secretive running around
like in a hotel.
After settling Daisy in the rest area, Kian had coffee, fruits, and snacks brought over.
Completing these tasks, Kian dismissed the staff and informed Daisy, "Miss Daisy, please have a seat. | need to attend to some
matters. If you need anything, just give me a call."
Since Daisy's secretary had Kian's contact information, there was no need to provide it again.
After Daisy nodded, Kian left the rest area and returned to the office area.
Kian reminded the staff in the secretary's office to keep an eye on Daisy in the rest area, ensuring she didn’t wander around
aimlessly. If she inquired about Ayan, they were to feign ignorance. He also informed them that Ayan was currently in a meeting
to avoid any slip-ups.
Having given his instructions, Kian returned to Ayan's office. Ayan didn't even lift his head, only asking in a flat tone, "Has the
person left?"
Kian sighed silently before responding, "Not yet. The person is waiting in the rest area and wishes to meet you. It seems urgent,
but I've made it clear that you may not have the time. There's a meeting to attend after this, but Daisy is insistent."
Ayan grunted in response, offering no further comments.
Kian, instinctively, glanced at Ayan's expression, which was far from pleasant, prompting him to remain silent.
Ayan left Daisy hanging, showing no intention of meeting her at all.
Time ticked by, leading up to the end of the workday, well past 5:30 PM.
Given a social gathering planned for tonight, the secretary's office staff began to leave, as Ayan had recently relinquished most
of his responsibilities in that area. Ayan had arranged for them to gather at Darkmoor for a company-sponsored event.noveldrama
After being informed of the situation, Kian agreed to let them go about their plans. As they left, the secretary's office became
deserted.
But Daisy still waited. Kian had no choice but to approach. Daisy's secretary and bodyguard were struggling to remain awake,
while Daisy was fixated on her phone-lost in thought.
Sensing someone approaching, Daisy raised her head to see Kian. Her eyes sparked as she inquired, "Does Ayan have time
now?"
Apologetically, Kian replied, "Miss Daisy, I'm sorry, but Mr. Simpson has to leave, so it may not be possible to meet with you."
Daisy's expression darkened as she stared at Kian, "Mr. Reid, is there no time, even for a few minutes? Is it his lack of time or
simply his unwillingness to spare any for me?"
Daisy's tone held a hint of displeasure, her emotions beginning to flare.
Kian stated calmly, "Miss Daisy, as I've mentioned, Mr. Simpson is quite busy today and may not have the time. It's your
insistence on waiting.”
Maintaining his politeness and composure, Kian's words momentarily silenced Daisy, her expression stiffening. Daisy took a
deep breath before speaking softly, "Mr. Reid, | only need a few minutes. Can't he spare even that for the sake of Tillery Group?
After all, | am here as the leader of Tillery Group's inspection team in Hance City."
With the mention of Tillery Group and the project, Kian could not continue with his current approach.
Stepping aside, Kian made a call to Ayan. In less than five minutes, Ayan arrived.
In a crisp white shirt and black trousers, Ayan stood tall, his face cold and his eyes indifferent as he glanced at Daisy and asked,
"Miss Daisy, are you here on behalf of Tillery Group regarding the project?"
After posing his question, Ayan's expression quickly turned displeased, "Kian, what kind of treatment is this? Miss Daisy is
representing Tillery Group at Simpson Group. Are you trying to make Simpson Group take the blame for your mismanagement?"
Caught off guard, Kian hastened to apologize, "I apologize, Mr. Simpson, it was my mistake."
“You should not be apologizing to me,” Ayan insinuated.
Realizing his misstep, Kian turned to Daisy, offering a sincere and earnest apology, "I am truly sorry, Miss Daisy, for my
negligence and improper handling of the situation. Please grant me another chance."
Caught in the midst of the unfolding situation, Daisy paused briefly before responding, "Ayan, this has nothing to do with Mr.
Reid. It was my fault for not explaining clearly. Mr. Reid had made adequate arrangements."
Daisy couldn't possibly hold Kian responsible, given his position as Ayan's secretary. She couldn't afford to offend him.
As Daisy spoke, Ayan's voice emanated cold and distant, "Miss Daisy has been gracious." His gaze fixed on Daisy, his
demeanor aloof and detached as he inquired, "Does Miss Daisy wish to discuss project-related matters with me?"

indifferent demeanor, Daisy's mood

Taking a deep breath, Daisy tried to maintain her composure. She exhaled deeply before speaking softly, "Ayan, do you not wish
to see me?"
Ayan remained expressionless, "Miss Daisy, is there a misunderstanding?"

As Daisy spoke, her eyes remained fixed on Ayan, but she couldn't discern anything from his utterly emotionless reaction.
Whether he was exceptionally good at hiding his emotions or genuinely indifferent, she couldn't tell.
After Daisy finished speaking, Ayan
spoke in a detached manner, "Since
