When he finally returned to her, she opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was him, arms outstretched, along with Lissana, who was reaching for her. "Abril, take your daughter in your arms," he urged gently. "Look around you. Just ask." "Where is this place?" Abril wondered, her heart racing. "Although I come from an ancient lineage, the reign cannot hold me captive, and neither can Lissana," he replied, his tone firm. "We are guests here, and we will leave." "Really?" Abril asked, hope flickering in her chest."Yes, there is nothing keeping us here. Let's go home." Abril felt an overwhelming sense of relief wash over her. Alessandro's words meant they could leave, that her suffering was finally coming to an end. Yet, a shadow of worry lingered in her mind about what would happen to Cira. But for now, she focused on the moment, feeling as if a great weight had been lifted from her chest. "I'm glad it's over," she said softly. Alessandro lifted Lissana onto his shoulders, and Abril smiled at the sight. "You made me sad too," he admitted."I thought it would be harder to leave this place." As a gust of wind swept through, Abril sensed Lissana's hunger. "I suppose we'll need to find some food for Lissana before we go," she said, her voice laced with concern. "If they want to imprison us, they should at least feed us," Alessandro replied, a hint of irritation in his tone. They headed toward the door, but Abril hesitated for a moment. Even though Alessandro had assured her that the queen would grant them peace, she couldn't shake the feeling of disbelief. "Everything will be fine, Abril.Don't be scared; you're not alone," Alessandro reassured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. Feeling bolstered by his support, Abril nodded. When they opened the door, several guards stood waiting. They bowed respectfully and said, "You reign in our presence, and we will guide you to your quarters. Enjoy your stay in Arkala." "What?! We can leave?" Abril exclaimed, her heart racing. "I don't know," one guard replied. "We were ordered to wait for your authorization to depart." Lissana, still hungry, began to whimper.Abril wanted to respond, but the guards continued to lead them, ignoring the baby's cries. "It's fine. Let's go to our quarters, and I'll ask one of the servants for some milk for my daughter," Abril said, trying to remain calm. "Don't worry; we'll get what we need," Alessandro assured her. As they followed the guards, they expected to be taken to a cell, but instead, they were led to a spacious room with windows, beautifully decorated. A table was laden with food. "Before we leave, we should let them know if we need anything," one of the guards said before exiting.Once the door closed behind them, Abril sighed. "It seems we're not free to leave whenever we want. Even though we're not in a cell, we're still prisoners." "But at least we have a beautiful prison, don't you think?" Alessandro replied, trying to lighten the mood. Abril shot him a frustrated look. "You don't understand." "Mariana, we'll talk to the queen and return home. That's what matters now-we're together," he said, his voice steady. "You're right," she conceded, feeling a flicker of hope. As Lissana began to cry, Abril hurried to the table. She found a bottle of warm milk and handed it to her daughter. "You haven't eaten yet. Here, drink this while I find something for myself." "Let her have it; I don't want to take her away from you just yet," Alessandro said, watching with concern. "I understand," Abril replied, grateful for his support. Alessandro helped himself to food, finishing his meal before Lissana had even drained the bottle. Abril gently patted her daughter's back, her heart swelling with love. She couldn't bear the thought of letting go, fearing that someone might take her away again.noveldramaAfterward, they settled onto the large bed in the room. Abril stroked Lissana's head as she slept soundly, then turned to Alessandro. "I'm sorry," she murmured. "Why are you apologizing?" he asked, confusion etched on his face. "Because I didn't tell you that Lissana's powers had awakened. I acted foolishly, trying to hide it." Alessandro brushed a strand of red hair behind her ear. "Even if you look beautiful with ruby strands, I prefer your hair bright red." "I won't deny that it bothers me," Abril admitted, "but I don't want us to fight over this.I almost lost you, and in this moment, I just want to enjoy being together as a family." He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "Now rest. You need to recover." Abril felt exhausted but didn't want to look away from Lissana. She wanted to keep watching her daughter, ensuring that no one would take her away again. Alessandro noticed her concern and said, "Sleep. I'll stay awake and watch over you both." "Just a little while," Abril replied. "Then wake me up so I can take care of Lissana too. You must be tired as well." "Agreed. Now close your eyes and rest," he urged gently.Abril obeyed, surrendering to the fatigue that washed over her. Alessandro watched over his family, knowing they were the most important part of his life. He vowed that they would never face a situation like the one they had just endured again. "I will protect you both," he whispered, determined. "Nothing and no one will ever separate us again."
